What is Mindfulness?

In practice, mindfulness may utilize many tools, including:

  • focusing on one or more sense at a time
  • listening to instrumental music, nature sounds or chants
  • meditation
  • breathwork
  • stroking a pet
  • becoming engaged fully in making art or a craft
  • gentle movement like walking, yoga or running
  • pausing to be present in your life, right where you are
